Northern Lambda originally began in 1980 and has served Aroostook County with social activities and working against homophobia towards creating a better community with fairness and equality for all persons. Northern Lambda is being re-invigorated at this time. Your membership supports the vital work of this organization.
Northern Lambda is a non-profit that supports the GLBT community of Aroostook County by way of providing a safe and nurturing environment for social gatherings, benefits, anonymous HIV testing and AIDS awareness and education.
We are fortunate to be surrounded by not only some of the most beautiful scenery in Maine, but by incredible people who support our efforts to end bigotry and hatred through education and visibility.
Not Gay?
Not everyone involved with Northern Lambda is GLBT. Some of our strongest supporters are members of the straight community, but they know the importance of equal rights for all.
